ARTICLE SUMMARY:

The veteran medtech innovator sees Avail Medsystems' technology as a prime example of where device development is heading, both in robotics and digital surgery and beyond.

Fred Moll has a day job. The robotics innovator and founder of Intuitive Surgical, Hansen Medical, and Auris Health, is currently the Chief Development Officer of Johnson & Johnson. He assumed that position when J&J paid $3.4 billion (with $2.35 billion in additional milestones) to acquire Auris in February of 2019.
