ARTICLE SUMMARY:

It is appropriate that two long-time friends and industry giants, Tom Fogarty and Mike Mussallem, have teamed up to launch an innovation prize in the name of the pioneering surgeon/inventor/entrepreneur.

Fogarty Innovation Prize.

Open by application to all comers, the award recognizes the development and commercialization of a life-changing medical technology. The winner will be selected based on the recommendation of an advisory board made up of distinguished medtech executives, including Dorothy Abel; K. Angela Macfarlane;Mike Mussallem; Asha Nayak, MD, PhD; Carla Pugh, MD, PhD; Bill Starling; and Allan Will.
