Boston Scientific Corp.is a category leader in endoscopy, with a track record of producing high-quality products for a business unit that generates $3 billion in revenues. One of its more challenging goals in recent years has been development of a single-use duodenoscope, which aims to address provider and government concerns about the infection rates found in reusable duodenoscopes. In December 2019, the company became first to get FDA clearance for such a scope, the EXALT Model D Single Use Duodenoscope.
